One of the early exercises I did to raise my self esteem was to recall specific talents
and achievements. The aim was to promote self-awareness and self-acceptance.
Here is a list a made up to demonstrate what I mean.
I can ski
I can ride a bicycle
I can drive a car
I can touch type
I can write shorthand
I can design computer systems
I can build web pages
I can play piano
I can manage money
Practice learning about yourself. Give yourself appreciation and praise for what
you already have.
This exercise also shows that self esteem building exercises don't have to be taken too
seriously.
